In line with the Govt. of India and State Govt. of Maharashtra policies for energy generation from renewable resources, Sahyadri Renewable Energy Private Limited (SREPL), was founded to develop Hydro Power Projects.
SREPL has identified a site for hydro power development on the Bhatsa River approximately 10 km downstream of the Bhatsa Dam and approximately 5 km downstream of existing Vajra-I Hydro Power Project near Kasgaon village in Shahapur taluk of district Thane in Maharashtra.
Project shall be commissioned by Sept. 2013.
